About Jeremy Scroggins
Nontraditional Experience
After serving six years in the United States Air Force as an Arabic linguist, analyst, and program manager, Jeremy walked 2,186 miles from Georgia to Maine along the historic Appalachian Trail. That experience informs how he thinks today and is the primary reason for his desire to share and care for special experiences and connected stories. He has since worked as a backpacking guide at the University of Texas, a park ranger for the Bureau of Land Management, a program coordinator for the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, a facilities manager | interpreter | cultural resource specialist | historian, then made a sudden transition back into media production when COVID-19 grasped the world in 2020.
Education
Jeremy completed his Master of Science in Resource Communications from Stephen F. Austin State university Dec. 2020 and now teaches the Advanced Interpretive Media/Graphics course at SFA as an adjunct professor.
Jeremy earned a Bachelor of Arts in English with a certificate in Creative Writing from the University of Texas at Austin, graduating with honors from the College of Liberal Arts and the undergrad creative writing program.
Jeremy also holds three Associate degrees.
